Perfect Pork Tenderloin

IMG_5808.jpeg

I’m new to cooking pork tenderloin- but also sad i’ve missed out all this time!

It’s such a nice change when you’re tired of chicken! And this recipe is SO easy!

I like to have leftovers so I cook two large tenderloins. Costco sells a 2 pack if you shop there!

I place the meat on a large cutting board, then I rub olive oil, crushed garlic, and seasoning all over generously. I use about 4 crushed garlic cloves.

Next, heat some oil in a skillet. You know I prefer a cast iron skillet , but any oven safe skillet will work. When the oil is hot, place the meat in the skillet and sear each side until the color changes. Sear each side a few minutes on medium heat.

This Glaze was delicious! I found it at Costco! I added it while I seared the meat in the skillet and again at the very end once the meat was cut!

Sear the meat for about 6 minutes or until you see the meat change in color. Then, place the entire skillet in the oven preheated to 400. Cook for 13-15 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 145. SO EASY! I like to pair it with carrot fries!

When the tenderloin reaches 145, remove the skillet from the oven and cover with foil. Let the meat sit for a few minutes before slicing.

Enjoy!!

Perfect Pork Tenderloin

*2 pork tenderloins

* Olive Oil

*Beautiful Briny Sea Seasoning is my favorite but use your favorite seasoning- garlic powder and seasoned salt would be fabulous!

*4 crushed garlic cloves

*Balsamic Glaze (If you feel ambitious you can make this- but I just buy one!)

Remove meat from the packaging and place on a large cutting board.

Preheat oven to 400.

Rub meat with 2 tablespoons of olive oil and whatever seasoning you prefer. Rub the crushed garlic generously all over the meat.

Heat an oven safe skillet with 2 Tablespoons of olive oil. I prefer a cast iron skillet.

Once the oil is hot, place the meat in the skillet.

Seat the meat on both sides, about 6 minutes total until meat changes color.

Place the whole skillet in the preheated oven,

Bake for 13-15 minutes or until the meat reaches 145 internal temperature.

Remove the skillet and cover with foil. Let the meat sit for a few minutes before slicing.

Slice the tenderloin and enjoy! I love to serve this dish with carrot fries and a salad!
